Nasha Mukti Abhiyan - SJECI Drug Awareness Campaign

SJECI Special Initiative

Nasha Mukti Abhiyan — Drug Awareness & De-Addiction, Say No to Drugs — is a nationwide campaign committed to building a drug-free India. We work at the grassroots level, empowering youth, supporting families, and connecting individuals with professional rehabilitation and counselling resources across the country.

We believe recovery is possible with the right support system. By bringing counselling, medical linkages, and community acceptance together, we help individuals rebuild their lives with dignity.

Why This Initiative Matters

Substance abuse is one of the most serious social challenges in India today, especially among youth in urban and semi-urban areas. SJECI's Drug Awareness & De-Addiction Initiative adopts a holistic approach — focusing on prevention through education, timely intervention through counselling, and structured rehabilitation support for long-term recovery.

We believe every individual deserves a second chance. In collaboration with government bodies, NGOs, and healthcare professionals, we ensure that help is accessible, confidential, and completely free from stigma.

  • Free counselling sessions
  • Collaboration with government de-addiction centres
  • Youth sensitisation programmes in schools
  • Family support & community reintegration camps

What We Do

We deliver awareness, counselling, and rehabilitation support directly to communities affected by substance abuse. Through school and community programmes, confidential counselling, and partnerships with certified rehabilitation centres, we help individuals recover and reintegrate into society.

Awareness & Prevention

Conducting awareness programmes and workshops in schools, colleges, and rural communities to educate youth about the impact of substance abuse before it begins.

Counselling & Mental Health Support

Providing confidential, professional psychological support to individuals and families through every stage of recovery.

How We Work

Our approach combines community engagement, medical partnerships, and sustainable support to ensure lasting recovery. We start by understanding each individual's situation and connecting them with the right resources at the right time.

Awareness sessions in schools, colleges and rural communities help young people understand the risks of substance abuse before it starts, reducing new cases at the source.

  • Workshops delivered in partnership with local schools and colleges

We partner with certified, government-recognised de-addiction centres across India to connect individuals with safe, medically supervised rehabilitation programmes.

  • Referrals to trusted, medically supervised rehabilitation centres

Recovered individuals are supported through skill development, livelihood assistance, and community acceptance programmes that ensure long-term recovery.

  • Livelihood assistance and family support and reintegration camps
